About the class

In 2010, my son received a blanket while in the NICU in West Hills.  He was born with pneumonia and was struggling to breathe and survive.  When I finally was able to hold him two days after he was born, he was wrapped up in a beautiful blanket.  It was then that I met Project Linus.  Two years later, I started making blankets with my freshmen students.  A year later, I opened the chapter in Santa Clarita and two years after that, the district permitted us to create a class to teach students how to run a nonprofit organization.  It is here, that we run community events, raise money, work with our community, produce the product, and work through logging our product.
